Linda Chapman last appeared as a performer in The Wooster Group's BRACE UP! She was an Associate Member of the Group, serving as Managing Director and Program Director for The Performing Garage Visiting Artists Series.
Linda is founding Artistic Director of Sang-Froid, Ltd. where she has directed the music-theatre work The Opium War by Ana Maria Simo and Zeena Parkins; and The Georg and Lola Show and Gertrude and Virgil ,both with Lola and the late Georg Osterman. She also directed Georg's play No Damn Good at HOME and his musical Don't Remind Me at La Mama E.T.C.
Under the auspices of Sang-Froid, Linda was one of the founding producers of Dyke TV and DTV Productions, a grass-roots cable television program and media center for the lesbian community. DTV is currently seen in sixty-seven cities nation wide.
Linda is Associate Artistic Director of New York Theatre Workshop, where she co-directed The Rez Sisters, directed numerous readings and workshops and is involved in all aspects of the artistic life of the theatre.
